PSV unstoppable

PSV EINDHOVEN'S seemingly relentless quest towards another Eredivisie title continued following a 2-0 win over Twente at the Philips Stadion.

The Eindhoven side ensured they maintained their eight-point lead over arch-rivals Ajax, thanks to goals from Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink and a penalty from Mateja Kezman.

The victory moves PSV onto 73 points at the top of the table, having dropped just 11 points all season.

Ajax ensured the leaders down secure another crown too early with an exciting 4-2 win over Roda at the Amsterdam ArenA.

The result never looked in doubt after the Dutch giants raced into a 3-0 lead just half an hour into the contest.

Goals from Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Rafael Van der Vaart and Wesley Sneijder in control, though Sergio pulled one back before the break.

Sergio then had home fans biting their nails when he pulled another back with ten minutes to go, however Nourdin Boukhari settled the tie with a fourth.

Elsewhere, a solitary second half effort from Said Boutahar was enough to lift Excelsior to a 1-0 win over Heerenveen, whilst Roosendaal and AZ Alkmaar shared the points in a goalless draw.

Willem II condemned De Graafschap to yet another defeat after a 3-0 win at the Willem II Stadion.

Goals from Jattoo Ceesay and Kew Jaliens put the home side firmly in control.

The visitors' hope of rescuing a point vanished when Jason Culina was sent off and Dmitri Shoukov added a third.
