PSV Eindhoven overcame the first-half dismissal of Jorrit Hendrix to defeat lowly ADO Den Haag 1-0 on Saturday evening and maintain their four-point cushion at the Eredivisie summit.

Hendrix was sent off for a second bookable offence in the 29th minute, for a foul on Michiel Kramer following a poor goal-kick from Jeroen Zoet.

Despite their numerical disadvantage, PSV grabbed the game's only goal four minutes into the second half when Memphis Depay tapped home following good work by Luciano Narsingh.

The victory maintained PSV's four-point advantage over Ajax, who were 4-0 winners against second-bottom FC Dordrecht.

Lasse Schone set the champions on their way in the 21st minute and doubled their advantage 20 minutes into the second half following the dismissal of Dordrecht defender Josimar Lima.

Further second-half goals from Joel Veltman and Lucas Andersen sealed the rout at the Amsterdam ArenA.

Feyenoord remained three points adrift of Ajax after a 2-0 triumph over PEC Zwolle, second-half goals from Sven van Beek and Jean-Paul Boetius securing the home win.

FC Twente moved above PEC and into fourth place with a 2-0 home win against Heerenveen, Rasmus Bengtsson and Kamohelo Mokotjo the men on target.
