Argentine fed up with fringe role at Dutch giants

Ajax's Argentine forward Dario Cvitanich is desperate to end his unsuccessful time in Holland and move back to South America. The 25-year-old has failed to make an impact at the Amsterdam Arena since arriving from Buenos Aires-based outfit Banfield in a €6.5million (£5.8m) in the summer of 2008. Ajax boss Martin Jol, who took over in May, has mainly used Cvitanich as a substitute and the attacker wants his future to be decided in the January transfer window. "I desperately want to return to Argentina. I want regular first-team football and that won't be happening at Ajax any time soon." he is quoted as telling Radio del Plata. "I'm only thinking about playing first-team football again. However, I'll have to wait and see what happens in the upcoming transfer window."
