Ajax run riot again, Feyenoord also in the goals

Ajax made it 12 goals in two games with a convincing victory over Heerenveen, while Feyenoord also maintained their 100 per cent winning record. Heerenveen gave Ajax a scare by taking the lead after 27 minutes with a goal from Miralem Sulejmani. But goals just before half-time from Luis Suarez and Thomas Vermaelen turned the game in Ajax's favour. Robbert Schilder added a third after 52 minutes and Suarez completed the rout six minutes later to send Ajax top of the table after two games with a goal difference of ten. Feyenoord cruised to a 5-0 win over NAC Breda to join Ajax, PSV Eindhoven and Vitesse Arnhem on six points. Roy Makaay set Feyenoord on their way with a penalty after 21 minutes, but it remained 1-0 until half-time. Ron Vlaar doubled Feyenoord's advantage after 49 minutes, before Nuru Sahin bagged a brace (55 and 72) and Jonathan de Guzman struck (69). Utrecht held FC Twente to a 2-2 draw to claim their first point of the season. Joost Broerse broke the deadlock for Utrecht after 27 minutes but Blaise N'Kufo stroked home a penalty to equalise for Twente five minutes before half-time. Orlando Engelaar put Twente ahead two minutes after the break but Gregoor van Dijk rescued a draw for Utrecht. De Graafshap put last weekend's defeat to Ajax behind them to win 2-0 at FC Groningen, Donny de Groot (47) and Berry Powel (62) getting the goals.
