Borussia Monchengladbach striker Giovane Elber is hoping to make his Foals debut against Hamburg on Sunday.The former Bayern Munich ace, who has been out of action since joining Gladbach from Lyon, has been training with the first-team squad and is close to returning to action.
"Things are looking good. I just wasn't ready last week, but things have improved since then," he told the club's official website.
A final decision will be made with Gladbach coach Horst Koppel after training on Friday, but Elber stressed that he will only travel to Hamburg if he is fully fit.
"I have to be able to help the team, otherwise there is no point me sitting on the bench," he concluded.
