Bayer Leverkusen are keeping tabs on Stuttgart's Christian Trasch as they appear to fear Arturo Vidal's exit.

Bayer Leverkusen already appear to be making contingency plans for Arturo Vidal's potential move to Bayern Munich by keeping tabs on Christian Trasch.
Midfielder Vidal, who has just 13 months left on his contract, is thought to want to follow manager Jupp Heynckes to Bayern in the summer and if he is not committed then Leverkusen may need to listen to offers.
Leverkusen seem to fear they will lose the Chile international and club executive Wolfgang Holzhauser has confirmed that Stuttgart's Germany international, Trasch, is being scouted.
As with Vidal, the 23-year-old's contract is set to expire in June 2012, leaving Stuttgart in a difficult situation if the player's head is turned by interest from BayArena.
Holzhauser told
Express newspaper: "Christian Trasch is a very good player. He is contracted to Stuttgart.
Great player
"We have been scouting him, of course."
But Stuttgart general manager Fredi Bobic told
Kicker: "Christian Trasch is an extremely vital player for our club and our first team.
"He is a great player and he has a good character. We could definitely build a good team around him."
Meanwhile, German youth international defender Omer Toprak has signed a five-year contract with Leverkusen to move from Freiburg.
The 21-year-old follows coach Robin Dutt to Leverkusen as focus already turns to life after Heynckes.
Dutt will replace veteran Finnish centre-back Sami Hyypia, who announced on Monday that he was retiring.
