Knavs exits Bochum

Bochum defender Aleksander Knavs has signed for ambitious Salzburg.

Bochum defender Aleksander Knavs has signed a three-year deal with Austrian Bundesliga outfit Salzburg.

The 28-year-old Slovenian international will join up with new Salzburg coach Kurt Jara for the third time in his career.

Knavs has previously worked with Jara at Tyrol and Kaiserslautern.

The stopper is Salzburg's second prominent signing from the German Bundesliga this summer.

Knavs arrives hot-on-the-heels of Bayern Munich's former Germany international Thomas Linke, who agreed terms earlier in May.
