Szabolcs Huszti has re-joined Hannover 96 after three years with Zenit St Petersburg. The Hungarian winger, linked with a move to West Brom during the January transfer window, has signed a three-year contract with the Bundesliga club. The 29-year-old international was seen as a replacement for Andrei Arshavin when he joined Zenit, but was pleased to return to his old club after his spell in Russia. "Hannover kept asking when I would sign for them again, and I felt the management were intent on signing me. I talked to coach Mirko Sloma many times and he said he was relying on me.

Familiar

"It's good to see familiar faces, I played with seven of the current squad. I'm a better player than before I joined Zenit, and I think I performed well when I had the chance." Slovenian full-back Miran Mihelic is having a trial with Hannover, but the German club admit they may not be able to prevent striker Didier Ya Konan from leaving if an offer matching a buy-out clause of £6.3million in his contract comes in. Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg are said to be interested in the Ivorian, and several Premier League sides were thought to be looking at him last season The 28-year-old has scored 29 times in 81 Bundesliga appearances for Hannover, but their chairman Martin Kind does not want the striker to leave. "We have already made it very clear that we do not want to see any player leaving our club (this summer). That's a fact. Didier Ya Konan has this option, if we would be offered the value of this contract clause, we have to let him leave."
