West Brom boss Roy Hodgson has confirmed he will not be signing Zenit St Petersburg winger Szabolcs Huszti this month.

No winger deal for West Brom

West Brom boss Roy Hodgson has confirmed he will not be signing Zenit St Petersburg winger Szabolcs Huszti this month. The Baggies had been in talks with Zenit over the 28-year-old Hungary international and Hodgson stated earlier this week he was hopeful. But, speaking after their FA Cup exit to Norwich, Hodgson confirmed that they would not be signing the winger this month and would look at him again in the summer. Hodgson cited concerns over the player's fitness for the reason he would not be signing him now. "He has gone back," said Hodgson. "We decided after speaking with him, he has not played for a long time, so it would have taken time to get him available so we decided to revisit it in the summer."
