Hannover striker Didier Ya Konan has welcomed the prospect of beginning contract discussions.

But forward's agent confirms that other clubs are showing interest

Hannover striker Didier Ya Konan has welcomed the prospect of beginning contract discussions at AWD-Arena. The former Rosenborg star's current deal does not expire until the June of 2012, but he has been a success in the Bundesliga and his club are keen to deter admirers. Ivory Coast international Ya Konan has scored 14 goals in 33 league matches since arriving last summer to attract interest from elsewhere. But the 26-year-old is happy at Hannover, telling BILD: "I like being a player of this club. "I like the city as well. It will be my agent who will be taking care of everything else." Ya Konan's representative, Bjorn Bezemer, confirmed that his client has been catching the eye of other clubs. Bezemer said: "There are clubs from the Bundesliga looking at Didier. "Hannover will always be our first option to talk to, but it is a fact that Didier is among the best strikers in the Bundesliga."
