Hannover fight back for draw

Hannover twice came back from going behind to secure a 2-2 draw with Wolfsburg.

Hannover twice came back from going behind to secure a 2-2 draw with Lower Saxony neighbours Wolfsburg.

A scrappy but entertaining derby saw Wolfsburg striker Diego Klimowicz break the deadlock in only the third minute when he snapped up the rebound after Robert Enke had parried Marcelinho's drive.

Wolfsburg's lead, though, proved short lived as in the 22th minute the home side were level when Hanno Balitsch etched his name on the scoresheet from close range.

Just three minutes later and Wolfsburg restored their advantage when the impressive Marcelinho rolled into the path of Polish midfielder Jacek Krzynowek, who slammed an effort from the edge of the area into the top corner.

In the second period Hannover were full value for a point and duly grabbed one when in the 62nd minute Frank Fahrenhorst made it 2-2 with a bundled finish.
