Bochum battled back for a 2-2 draw at Borussia Monchengladbach.

Bochum kept their hopes of staying in Die Bundesliga alive by battling back for a 2-2 draw at Borussia Monchengladbach.

Peer Kluge put the home side ahead on the half-hour mark before the lead was doubled on 52 minutes by Marcell Jansen.

Vratislav Lokvenc brought Bochum back into the game with 20 minutes to go and Marcelo Pletsch put through his own net in the last minute to present the visitors with a point.

Borussia Dortmund gave themselves a lift as they hung on for a 2-1 victory at home to Hertha Berlin.

Ewerthon gave Dortmund the lead on 24 minutes and Eby Smolarek added another before the interval.

Arne Friedrich reduced the arrears on 62 minutes but Hertha were unable to conjure up an equaliser in the closing stages.
