JUVE IN FOR LUCIO

SERIE A giants Juventus have reportedly lodged a 60 million Mark (£19 million) bid for Bayer Leverkusen ace Lucio.

Luciano Moggi, the sporting director for the 'Old Lady', is said to have met with Bayer general manager Reiner Calmund on Wednesday prior to the cancelled Champions League clash in Turin.

Brazilian defender Lucio has caught the attention of clubs all over Europe with a string of stellar performances in the Bundesliga and admits a move could be in the pipeline.

"I feel fine at Bayer but the offers from Italy are enticing," the 23-year-old told 'Tuttosport'.

"If Bayer refuse to let me leave I will do everything possible to convince the club to cancel my contract."

Lazio and Milan have also been linked with the Samba star whose value is soaring by the day.
