Wiese was taken from the field after 37 minutes, as the Germans held Twente to a 1-1 draw.

The keeper was replaced by substitute Sebastian Mielitz, for what looked to be a serious cruciate ligament injury.

"Tim doesn't think it is his crucial ligament, he thinks it is just a knee strain," said Bremen coach Thomas Schaaf.

The boss was unhappy with the goal his side conceded, but did praise the efforts of his team in the second half.

"We got the impression the goal we conceded was offside," he added.

"It was important that we played better in the second half and put them under more pressure.

"We have to take some positives from this game for our next match."
