Schaaf confident on Klose

Thomas Schaaf is confident Mirsolav Klose will be playing forWerder next season.

Werder Bremen coach Thomas Schaaf says he is confident Mirsolav Klose will be playing for the club next season.

The Bundesliga's top goalscorer is believed to be high on the wanted list of several top European clubs, but Schaaf says he is confident the former Kaiserslautern man will be staying at the Weserstadion for another season at least.

"The probability of Miro leaving us at the end of the season is remote," Schaaf said on German TV at the weekend.

"I think he feels very much at home and is well aware that he is able to achieve all the goals he has set himself with us."

Klose is contracted to Bremen until June 2008 and the club would appear to be ready to miss out on a bumper transfer fee to keep the World Cup star for another season.

"We're not even thinking about letting Miro go," Schaaf continued.

"We want to keep him here even longer. He should stay with us."
