Tim Borowski could miss Bremen's next Champions League game against Levski.
Tim Borowski could miss Werder Bremen's next UEFA Champions League game against Levski Sofia.
The influential midfielder picked up a leg injury during Bremen's 1-1 draw with holders Barcelona in midweek.
The German outfit expect Borowski to be out of action for up to three weeks, meaning he is a doubt for the October 18 encounter with Levski.
He will also be missing from international duty, with Germany due to play Georgia in a friendly and Slovakia in a Euro 2008 qualifier next month.
Borowski's team-mate Patrick Owomoyela picked up a knock in training on Thursday, but he is only expected to miss the weekend's meeting with Borussia Monchengladbach.
