Schalke midfielder eyes permanent Blackburn deal

Jermaine Jones has indicated that he would be interested in sealing a permanent switch to Blackburn after enjoying a loan spell at Ewood Park. The American midfielder spent the second half of the season with Rovers after joining from Schalke in January. He made a positive impression on manager Steve Kean and established himself as a key member of the side as he racked up 15 appearances. Kean recently admitted that he did not know whether it would be possible to bring Jones back to the club, but the 29-year-old hopes discussions will take place. "It was a good time for me at Blackburn. Now I need to look at what happens," Jones said in The Sun. "My team in Germany have told me to come back but my agent knows what I want. "I've been talking with Steve Kean and he needs to talk to the owner."
