Borussia Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp believes anybody who wants a subscription to success should become a Bayern Munich fan, while admitting he never envisioned things going as badly for his side as they currently are.

Klopp also believes he is a better coach now than two years ago - the season Dortmund reached the Champions League final - and once again insisted he will not walk away from the Bundesliga strugglers.

Dortmund were superior to Bayern for two years leading up to the Bavarian giants' recovery in 2011/12 under Jupp Heynckes.

Since then, the gap between the clubs has only grown with the two rivals now sitting at complete opposite ends of the Bundesliga table - Bayern seven points clear at the summit and Dortmund a point adrift at the bottom.

"I don't think I could ever have imagined things going as badly as they currently are for us," Klopp said.

"But it's stopped surprising me for the past two or three weeks. We've got so many injuries and we've been conceding goals which are more than just ridiculous."

Klopp, quoted by Sport1 from an event in Frankfurt, also suggested that if people want to associate themselves with guaranteed success they should follow record German champions Bayern.

"Anybody who wants success only has one chance, and that is to become a Bayern fan. That should make them happy," he said.

Despite Dortmund's miserable start to their league campaign, Klopp has again insisted he will not quit while he feels he is still the best man for the job.

"I'm not the kind to resign," he added. "I am either fully committed, or not committed at all.

"For as long as Dortmund want it, I will continue to do it too. I'm a fighter and I'm a better coach than I was in 2012, but you unfortunately cannot see that in the league table."

He says instead he has got to take the rough with the smooth.

"I never for once thought that the sun would keep shining out my backside for my whole life," added Klopp, maintaining his usual sense of humour even in the most difficult period of his coaching career.
