A bizarre own goal from Christoph Kramer saw Borussia Dortmund return to winning ways in the Bundesliga as they edged out previously unbeaten Borussia Monchengladbach 1-0 on Sunday.

Jurgen Klopp's men had lost five in a row in the league heading into this clash, but Kramer's unfortunate strike - which saw his attempted back pass from 40 yards drop beyond goalkeeper Yann Sommer and into the net - gave Dortmund the points they needed to raise morale and lift them off the foot of the table.

Gladbach's defeat saw them lose ground on second-placed Wolfsburg, who were comfortable 2-0 winners over Hamburg.

Ivica Olic broke the deadlock with a goal against his former club before Aaron Hunt sealed a sixth successive league victory for the Wolves - and eighth on the trot in all competitions - early in the second half.

Wolfsburg are now four points behind leaders Bayern Munich, with a three-point advantage over Gladbach below them.
