Wolfsburg have confirmed the departure of Bosnia international Zvjezdan Misimovic to Galatasaray.

Bosnia midfielder moves to Galatasaray on four-year deal

Steve McClaren's Wolfsburg have finally confirmed the departure of Bosnia international Zvjezdan Misimovic to Galatasaray for an undisclosed amount. The midfielder has agreed a four-year deal in Turkey, with Wolfsburg reportedly receiving £6million. Wolfsburg managing director Dieter Hoeness has revealed that Misimovic will return to the Volkswagen Arena to say his formal goodbyes. Hoeness told Wolfsburg's official website: "We would like to thank Misimovic for his performances and wish him lots of success. "I spoke to him on the telephone and we decided that, after his first game, he will return to bid us a proper farewell." Misimovic arrived at Wolfsburg from Nurnberg ahead of the 2007/2008 season and was a key part of the first-team who won the Bundesliga title in 2008/09. But the recent arrival of Diego from Juventus suggested that he would not feature as strongly in the plans of former England manager McClaren.
