Qatar-based club Al Rayyan have confirmed that they have signed Schalke defender Marcelo Bordon.

Qatar-based club Al Rayyan have confirmed that they have signed Schalke defender Marcelo Bordon.
The 34-year-old has ended a six-year stretch with the German outfit who last season finished second in the Bundesliga.
He said the move will be a totally new experience for him and one he is very much looking forward to.
"I am happy to start a new experience and play for Al Rayyan who are a big team," said the defender, who lists the 2004 Copa America with Brazil amongst his achievements.
"I know a lot about the Qatar league and I know coach Paulo Autuori and also (striker) Afonso Alves, who gave me a lot of information about Qatar and Al Rayyan.
"Al Rayyan are a strong team and I hope that I can put my experience at the service of the team to help them to win a lot of titles in the local and continental competitions."
