Big Sam keen on Burkina Faso hit-man

Skysports.com understands Blackburn are targeting a move for Mainz striker Aristide Bance. Blackburn boss Sam Allardyce has made a new forward one of his main priorities this close-season and he is believed to have made enquiries about Bance's availability. Burkina Faso international Bance impressed for Mainz last season, scoring 13 goals, and his performances attracted interest from a host of clubs, with Celtic among his suitors. Bance, who is the brother-in-law of Portsmouth's Aruna Dindane, is believed to be available for a fee of €4-5million from Mainz. A number of German and French sides are thought to be monitoring the giant 6ft 4in hit-man, but Bance is understood to be keen on a switch to England. Bance's agent, Saif Rubie, has confirmed a host of teams are chasing the powerful forward with the Premier League his preferred destination if he was to leave Mainz. "I have a lot of teams interested in Aristide with some big teams in England, Germany and France keen on him," Rubie told skysports.com. "However, if Aristide can come to the Premier League that would be his first choice."
