Livorno president Aldo Spinelli has performed an about turn concerning coach Daniele Arrigoni.
Spinelli took the decision to axe Arrigoni following Sunday's 5-1 defeat to Atalanta.
It is believed that the players were not happy with the decision to sack Arrigoni and a delegation made a plea to Spinelli to change his mind.
It would appear that the group led by captain Cristiano Lucarelli was able to sway Spinelli as he summoned Arrigoni to his office to inform him he would remain in charge of team affairs.
Arrigoni emerged from the meeting to say: "Everything is good, everything is solved."
Keeper Marco Amelia's future would appear to be in doubt following his criticism of Spinelli.
Spinelli has not taken kindly to Amelia's comments and said: "Amelia speaks too much.
"My wish is to be able to sell him in January, if not he will be on the bench."
