Ventola eyes Torino switch

Nicola Ventola is looking to secure a move to Torino before the transfer window closes.

Nicola Ventola is looking to secure a move to Torino before the transfer window closes.

The Atalanta striker has rejected the offer of a new deal and wants to seal a move to Turin.

Atalanta are willing to let Ventola leave, but they want ‚é¼500,000 for his signature - but Torino at this moment look unwilling to pay.

"We have spoken and president Ivan Ruggeri knows where I can go, now it depends on the two clubs," Ventola told La Stampa.

Atalanta did suggest a player swap with Elvis Abbruscato - but Torino rejected this as they do not want to let him go.

"We can let Ventola leave, but the club who wants him must pay unless they are interested in offering a player in exchange," said Ruggeri.

"To replace the player we need money. It is only logical that we cannot let him go for free.

"I am aware that there is contact with Torino. I spoke to [owner] Urbano Cairo and asked him to consider loaning us Abbruscato, but he turned down my offer."
