Sampdoria coach Delio Rossi has been handed a vote of confidence despite his team's poor run of form.
Saturday's 1-0 defeat at AC Milan dropped Samp to 19th place in Serie A with just two points from a possible 18.
The Blucerchiati have yet to win this season and reports in Italy have suggested the club could consider potential replacements for under-fire Rossi.
However, Samp president Edoardo Garrone rubbished the rumours and insisted Rossi will remain in charge until the end of the season.
"Delio Rossi's future has never been in doubt," Garrone said to Sampdoria TV.
"We believe he is the right person to teach and make our young team play well.
"We are going through a bad spell but we all have to raise our levels.
"The coach is a big part of Sampdoria and we have never considered getting rid of him.
"I'm sure Rossi is the right man for this team and the right man to achieve the results we want."
