Cosmi warns strike duo

Serse Cosmi has cautioned strikers Antonio Di Natale and David Di Michele.

Udinese coach Serse Cosmi has issued a stern warning to star strikers Antonio Di Natale and David Di Michele, saying that he will not tolerate a repeat of their petulant outbursts during Tuesday's UEFA Champions League draw against Werder Bremen.

Di Michele vented his frustration at being substituted, while Di Natale, who began the game on the bench, celebrated his equaliser in a manner apparently intended to mock Cosmi.

The Zebrette coach has already demonstrated his disciplinarian nature by freezing Azzurri forward Vincenzo Iaquinta out of his side following a contract dispute.

"I've already told them that if they do that again then they won't play under my tenure, as I have to look after the interests of the club and the fans," he blasted.

"If you don't have a smile on your face when you're playing football, then you may as well stay at home."

Di Natale responded immediately, saying: "I know he's angry for what I said, I'm sorry. I hope not to do it again."

Cosmi also launched a broadside at the match officials, adding: "You prepare a match knowing about your opponents and the Germans keep their defence very high.

"We waited for Werder to come up so that we could hit them on the offside trap, but when a linesman makes four or five mistakes then all that hard work goes to waste."
