Fiorentina forward Luca Toni is earning the praise of officials at the the club.

Fiorentina forward Luca Toni continues his race towards top goal scorer in Serie A with 22 goals, after scoring the winner in his side's 1-0 victory over Lecce on Sunday.

The prolific Italy international has helped fire the Viola into fourth place in Serie A and is earning the praise of many at the club.

"We came back calmly, there is a good atmosphere," said Fiorentina president Andrea Della Valle after the match with Lecce.

"The technical miracle we have shown for the points we have made so far is complete.

"Coming here and playing in Florence will be difficult for everybody, as well as Inter on Wednesday.

"After what we suffered today with Lecce, Luca Toni made the difference."

Fiorentina coach Cesare Prandelli was equally pleased with his side's performance.

"We made a really great match of it, especially in the first half," said Prandelli.

"In the second half, the game was influenced by the wind.

"We are really satisfied with the players' performance and character.

"Now we are focused on Wednesday's match with Internazionale: we want to make a good match of it."

Fiorentina entertain Inter at Stadio Artemio Franchi in their next Serie A match on Wednesday.
