Samp want Bonazzoli deal

Sampdoria are attempting to sign Parma's Emiliano Bonazzoli on a permanent basis.

Sampdoria are attempting to sign Parma's Emiliano Bonazzoli on a permanent basis, whilst Sebastian Frey will return to the Gialloblu following his loan spell with Fiorentina.

Bonazzoli, who is owned by both Parma and Reggina, arrived at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris during the summer as a replacement for the injured Fabio Bazzani.

Now Sampdoria director general Giuseppe Marotta has said: "We are working to keep Bonazzoli."

The former Azzurri Under-21 hit-man has enjoyed a successful spell in Genova, notching an impressive seven goals in seven games this term.

Meanwhile, Parma chief Lorenzo Sanz says that although Fiorentina are understood to be keen on keeping Frey, there is no doubt that the goalkeeper will return to the Stadio Tardini when his Viola loan spell comes to an end.

"Frey is only in Florence temporarily, he will definitely return to us for next season," he insisted.

The Frenchman's agent tells another story, however, saying: "It is far too soon to be talking about Sebastien's future. However, when that time does come, they will have to speak to us as well."
