Fabrizio Miccoli has explained the reasons behind his last-gasp move to Fiorentina.Juventus allowed Miccoli to leave for Fiorentina after signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic from Ajax.
"Between Alessandro Del Piero and me, the club decided that they should sacrifice me," said Miccoli.
"I will learn from my time at Juve and if I am given the opportunity to take a penalty against Juventus I won't think twice.
"Now I am concentrating on Fiorentina, who I agreed to join within ten minutes."
Juventus general manager Luciano Moggi explained that the club felt they had to sell Miccoli after moving for Fabio Cannavaro and Ibrahimovic.
"To sign both Cannavaro and Ibrahimovic we had to sacrifice an important pawn like Miccoli," explained Moggi.
"We still own half of his contract and we will be watching him this season.
"Then we will decide if we want to bring him back or not."
