Lazio defender Sebastiano Siviglia faces around a month of inactivity due to a muscle injury.Siviglia picked up the problem prior to Sunday's Serie A meeting with Fiorentina and was forced to miss the 1-0 win.
Tests have subsequently shown that Siviglia has strained a muscle and will need several weeks on the sidelines.
The stopper's absence will be a blow to Lazio coach Delio Rossi ahead of this weekend's derby against Roma at Stadio Olimpico.
Siviglia joined Lazio on a permanent basis just before the close of the transfer window after a loan spell with the club from Parma last season.
