Jay happy despite Siena interest

EXCLUSIVE
Jay Bothroyd is enjoying life at Perugia despite being targeted by Siena, according to his agent Frank Trimboli.

The former Arsenal and Coventry City striker has been a success in Italy and has also attracted interest from Lazio and Udinese.

Siena are keen to set up a swap deal involving Nicola Ventola, but Bothroyd would be happy to remain in Umbria.

"He's happy at Perugia and looking to do well in the Uefa Cup for them," Trimboli stated when contacted by skysports.com.

"If the opportunity to play somewhere else arises, it will have to wait.

"He's happy here and wants to reward Perugia for signing him by helping them stay in Serie A."

Siena are keen to enter the transfer market when the window opens on January 1, and Bothroyd is known to be on their list of top targets.

Ventola could be an attractive bargaining chip in any deals as he has plenty of experience of life in the Italian top flight.
