Lazio cement fourth spot

LAZIO maintained their push for a place in the Champions League with a comfortable 3-0 win over Como at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday afternoon.

Stefano Fiore gave Lazio the dream start with the opening goal after just five minutes and Bernardo Corradi added a second 11 minutes later.

Claudio Lopez made sure of the win with the third goal from the penalty spot on 68 minutes as Lazio warmed up their Uefa Cup semi-final with Porto in perfect fashion.

Reggina moved out of the bottom four with a narrow 1-0 win at home to Empoli.

Perugia were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Bologna.

Greek striker Zivis Vryzas fired Perugia in front on 32 minutes, but veteran striker Guiseppe Signori levelled for the visitors after 66 minutes.

Enzo Maresca's last-minute goal gave Piacenza a priceless 3-3 draw with Modena.

Eusebio Di Francesco gave Piacenza the lead after just eight minutes, but two penalties in two minutes from Omar Milanetto (21,23) turned things on their head for Modena.

Di Francesco netted his second on 64 minutes, before Fabio Vignaroli restored Modena's lead seven minutes from time.

Modena looked set to take all three points until Maresca popped up a minute from time to earn the home side a point.
