Prandelli cautious of Inter

Fiorentina coach Cesare Prandelli is all too aware of the threat that Internazionale pose.

Fiorentina coach Cesare Prandelli is all too aware of the threat that Internazionale pose, ahead of their clash with the Nerazzurri on Wednesday night.

The Viola currently lie fourth in Serie A, with Roberto Mancini's side ahead in second place.

Although Prandelli acknowledges that Inter are a good side, he will be telling his team to go out and win on Wednesday evening, in order to keep the heat on their close rivals.

"I want all the players ready because it will be a really difficult match," said the 48-year-old at a pre-match press conference.

"I've seen a really balanced and quick Inter against Chievo, and so we must close spaces and be balanced ourselves too.

"The forwards' movement in creating spaces and the defensive movements will be important," he added.

"We can't think about playing at Inter's level.

"Anyway, it seems right to wait before deciding on the line-up."

In attack, it would appear that Luca Toni is assured of his place, but for the other spot there is still a struggle between Giampaolo Pazzini and Valeri Bojinov to make it their own.

The latter was given his chance on Sunday, and impressed on his return from exile to the youth squad.
