Internazionale earned a 1-1 draw at Lazio in the first leg of their Coppa Italia quarter final.

Dejan Stankovic came back to haunt his old side to score for Inter, but Christian Manfredini secured Lazio a draw.

The game had an eventful start with Paolo Di Canio and Nicolas Burdisso both being sent off after just four minutes after both players exchanged blows in a fight.

Inter broke the deadlock on 26 minutes, with Stankovic firing home Giuseppe Favalli's cross.

The lead proved short-lived, as Manfredini levelled matters a minute later lobbing the ball over Francesco Toldo.

Lazio went close to going in front right on the stroke of half time when Igli Tare thumped the crossbar.

Both sides had chances to win the game in the second half, but Inter will be the happier of the two sides with the draw, as they prepare to welcome Lazio to the Giuseppe Meazza for the second leg.
