Internazionale goalkeeper Francesco Toldo's future at the club looks far from certain after he was left on the bench on Sunday.Toldo, who has faced criticism in the press during a defensively patchy start to the season for Inter, was left out of the starting line-up in favour of Alberto Fontana.
Rumours are suggesting that Sebastien Frey will return to his one-time owners in January, leaving Toldo out in the cold.
Frey did not have the best of times with Nerazzurri on his first spell at the club, but a new management team and continued support of president Massimo Moratti could convince him that a return would boost his profile.
It remains to be seen if Toldo is again left out for Inter's UEFA Champions League clash against Valencia - but should Fontana again be selected it will serve to fuel the rumours.
