Inter linked to Pizarro

Rumours emanating from Italy are linking Udinese's playmaker David Pizarro with a potential move to Internazionale.

The Chilean schemer has been in excellent form this term and a series of exciting displays are said to have attracted admiring glances from the Nerazzurri.

Although Pizarro has only recently signed a new contract, Udinese president Giampaolo Pozzo has hinted that he could be tempted into a sale if the price was right.

One stumbling block for any proposed transfer is that Pozzo has informed the Italian press that he would expect ‚é¼20 million for his prized asset, whereas Inter would be reluctant to pay over ‚é¼10 million.

However, with the January transfer window drawing to a close, a move now appears more likely to occur in the summer.

Pizarro has declared that he knows little of the apparent interest, but is nevertheless flattered to be linked with such an illustrious club.

''I know nothing,'' Pizarro confirmed. ''I think only of recovering my fitness and trying to help Udinese.

''But, wearing a glorious jersey like that of Internazionale would flatter anyone.''
