Davala set for German switch

TURKISH midfielder Umit Davala has reportedly agreed to join German Bundesliga side Werder Bremen.

The 29-year-old has been on loan at Turkish giants Galatasaray but is still registered with Italian side Internazionale, however the Serie A club have recently admitted that he no longer figures in their plans.

Davala is happy with the interest from Germany and said: "We have talked with them and they have invited us."

The Turkish star's agent Ahmet Bulut said: "We have talked with Bremen and it was very positive.

"There is an offer from France but we are thinking of Germany first."

Davala had been linked with a move to Turkish rivals Besiktas earlier in the season and there was also talk of a switch to Serie A side Torino, but it now appears that he will be heading to Germany to continue his career.
