Lazio coach Stefano Pioli has extended his contract with the Serie A side.

Pioli has signed a new two-year deal with an option of a further year after impressing in his first season in charge.

The 49-year-old arrived at the Stadio Olimpico last June from Bologna and guided Lazio to a third-place finish, qualifying for the preliminary round of the Champions League, and reached the Coppa Italia final.

“SS Lazio announces that it has extended the contract with Coach Stefano Pioli until 30 June 2017,” confirmed Lazio in a statement.

“S.S. Lazio will have the option to prolong the contract of Coach Pioli until 30 June 2018.”

Meanwhile, Brazil midfielder Felipe Anderson has dismissed reports linking with a move to the Premier League.

Anderson responded to reports after Chelsea and Manchester United were said to be interested in the 22-year-old.

"Next year? All I know is I’ll be playing for Lazio," Anderson said.

"I only recently renewed my contract for another five years. I’m thinking about that shirt, and nothing else.

"I don’t know of any offers, my future is at Lazio."
