Chievo striker Sergio Pellissier believes Mario Yepes deserves to secure a deal with AC Milan.
The veteran defender has earned rave reviews for his assured displays in Serie A over the past couple of years.
Yepes' current contract with Chievo expires at the end of the season and reports suggest an agreement has already been reached for him to join Milan in the summer.
Pellissier stopped short of confirming the reports but admitted he would be happy to see a respected team-mate make such a move.
"Mario is a great defender and he deserves an important deal with an important team like Milan," Pellissier told Sportitalia.
"But it's only fair that he will be the one to tell you if he has already signed for Milan."
