Gunners target signs five-year deal in Turin

Juventus have completed the signing of reported Arsenal target Felipe Melo. The Turin giants have paid €20.5million (£17.6m) to land the Fiorentina midfielder on a five-year contract. Melo, who starred in this summer's Confederations Cup for Brazil, was thought to have been high on Gunners boss Arsene Wenger's wish-list. He has, though, elected to stay in Italy having agreed personal terms with the Old Lady. "I believe a lot in this side. It has been reinforced and can rival any team as we target all the trophies in Italy and Europe," Melo told the Juventus channel. He recently signed a contract extension with Fiorentina but a release clause was inserted, which Juve have triggered with their offer.
