Veteran defender hit with four-game ban
Parma defender Fernando Couto has been handed a four-game ban following his sending off against Juventus.
Couto was already facing a one-match suspension as a result of his red card in the 3-0 defeat to Juventus on Wednesday.
However, further action has been taken against the Portuguese defender after he threw a punch at Juventus' Giorgio Chiellini.
Couto's punch at Chiellini during first-half stoppage time went unpunished at the time, but after reviewing television footage the Italian Football Federation's disciplinary commission have hit the veteran with a further three-match ban.
The news is a blow for Parma as they are in a relegation dogfight in Serie A and are currently one point above the dropzone.
