Striker looking to return to hometown club

Napoli striker Ezequiel Lavezzi has revealed he wants to play for hometown club Rosario Central before hanging up his boots. The 24-year-old insists he is enjoying life in Serie A but holds the Argentinean side in great affection and even has their badge tattooed across his chest. He said: "I am very comfortable at Napoli but one day I would like the chance to play at Rosario Central. "I feel supported and respected at Napoli. I am having success in Italian football and I feel involved with the team. "We are progressing and maturing every day and that gives me a sense of satisfaction, but I am sure I will when I return to Argentina, it is my dream."

World Cup hopes

Lavezzi has become a cult hero since joining the Partenopi in 2007 and is hopeful of adding to his six Argentina caps if he continues to impress. He added: "I had a very good 2009, it was positive in many respects, and my wish for this year is to keep improving in order to get myself into contention for the World Cup. I am looking forward to that very much."
