CSKA Moscow have reportedly agreed a fee with Real Sociedad for goalscorer Nihat Kahveci.According to reports in the Basque Country, the Turkish international will move to the Russian capital for ‚é¼10 million, with Nihat's former club Besiktas expected to receive ‚é¼1.2 million as a sell-on fee.
The 25-year-old is expected to have two medicals in London and Munich regarding the injured knee that kept him out of the latter half of last season with the Spanish Primera Liga club.
Once he has passed those medicals, Nihat should put pen to paper on a four-year deal reportedly worth ‚é¼9.7 million, with his CSKA unveiling set for July 4.
It remains to be seen whether reports are accurate that Nihat will spend one season with the Uefa Cup holders before moving to Premiership champions Chelsea next summer.
Blues owner Roman Abramovich has links with CSKA through the club's main sponsor in the Russian oil company Sibneft, for whom he is a major shareholder.
