Mallorca managed to beat the transfer deadline by minutes to complete the signing of goalkeeper Sander Westerveld.The former Liverpool custodian had been looking for a new club after being informed he could move on by Real Sociedad.
He joins The Islanders on a one-year loan deal which will take him up to the end of his contract with Sociedad.
Meanwhile, Mallorca have also agreed a deal to send defender Txomin Nagore on a season-long loan to Segunda outfit Celta Vigo.
Also leaving the Balearic outfit are striker Arnold Bruggink and defender Mario.
Both players have had their contracts annulled and become free agents, although the latter has already agreed a deal to join former club Real Valladolid.
