Depor keen on Bodipo

Deportivo La Coruna are hoping to negotiate a deal to bring Bodipo to the Riazor.

Deportivo La Coruna are hoping to negotiate a deal to bring Alaves striker Bodipo to the Riazor.

Following the Basque club's relegation to Spain's second division, Alaves are in desperate need of bringing some funds into the club and have been forced to place the former Racing Santander man on the transfer list.

Depor coach Joaquin Caparros is keen to coach Bodipo having worked with the striker at Recreativo de Huelva, and has lodged a bid in the region of ‚é¼2 million (£1.4 million) for the player.

Talks between the two parties are thought to be at an advanced stage, with the only issue over payment to Alaves, who would like the transfer fee in full straight away.

However, the problems should be ironed out in the coming days to allow the Guinean-born player to make an instant return to La Liga.
