Depor to unveil Caparros

Deportivo will present Joaquin Caparros as their new coach on Wednesday afternoon.

Deportivo La Coruna have reached agreement with Joaquin Caparros and will present him as their new manager on Wednesday afternoon.

The 49-year-old walked out on Sevilla last week after rejecting the chance to sign a new contract at Estadio Sanchez Pizjuan.

The reason behind him doing so soon became apparent with Depor identifying him as the man they wanted to succeed Javier Irureta.

Caparros' agent Juan Maraver confirmed talks with Depor and they have reached a positive conclusion.

Caparros will travel to A Coruna in Galicia on Wednesday afternnon and will be unveiled at a press conference later in the day.

Meanwhile, Depor are close to clinching the signing of Mallorca's highly-rated young goalkeeper Miguel Moya.

The two clubs have reportedly concurred on a near ‚é¼5 million deal and all that remains is for the Spain Under-21 international to agree personal terms.

Moya's imminent signing is likely to lead to the departure of either Jose Francisco Molina or Dani Mallo from Depor.
