Winger could be set for new club

Fiorentina coach Delio Rossi has confirmed that he is ready to let Alessio Cerci leave the club. The highly-rated winger has seen himself drop out of favour under new boss Rossi, due to a change in system. Cerci has not started for the Viola in over a month and speculation has suggested that Palermo and Premier League side Everton are keen. "Cerci is a wide attacker with certain characteristics, so he has been penalised by our change to a 3-5-2 system," said Rossi. "If he gets the chance, it's best he go express himself elsewhere, otherwise he'll have to stay in Florence and try to adapt." Cerci, who has also had a falling out with the club's fans, was wanted by Roberto Mancini at Manchester City last year. Whilst Rossi would not stand in Cerci's way - he insisted that the club should keep hold of former West Ham star Valon Behrami, who has been linked with Juventus. He said: "I think the club needs to take steps in order to improve the squad and not sell one of the most positive players. We need those who fit the project that I am trying to build with the club."
