Mallorca plot triple raid

REAL MALLORCA are poised for a triple transfer swoop as they bid to strengthen their squad ahead of the new Spanish season.

The Islanders have seen their midfield options severely depleted during the close season with three players having already departed and a fourth set to follow.

Harold Lozano, Julian Robles and Albert Riera have all left El Estadio Son Moix, and Alvaro Novo is poised to join former boss Gregorio Manzano at Atletico Madrid.

However, new coach Jaime Pacheco has identified three new faces to inject fresh blood into his squad.

Saliou Lassissi is top of the club's hit-list, and a deal for the Roma man is rumoured to be close.

The club are also well advanced in negotiations for Brazilian starlet Nene, who currently plies his trade for Santos.

The South American 22-year-old is very highly-rated by Mallorca's coaching staff who have followed him for several months.

The final target is Txomin Nagore who could arrive at Mallorca from Atletico as part of any deal for Novo.

Nagore, out of favour at El Vicente Calderon, would be pushed further down the Atletico pecking order by the imminent arrival of Novo, and is thus expected to welcome a move in the opposite direction.
