Albertini to return to Milan

MILAN legend Demetrio Albertini has dismissed rumours linking him with a move from Atletico Madrid to Portuguese giants Benfica saying he will return to the Rossoneri.

The former Italian international moved to the Spanish capital on a season long loan from Milan last term along with Jose Mari and Fabricio Coloccini but the industrious midfielder says he will return to the place where he made his name.

"I come back to Milan," he said during a radio interview. "I've already moved house."

The Azzurri star said earlier in the season that he would either stay in Spain or return home and the lure of returning to the Champions League winners has obviously proved too much to resist.

As for his future of Mari and Coloccini's, Milan general director Ariedo Braida said on Friday: "These players would have to stay abroad, but we'll have to wait until the end of La Liga before deciding what to do."
