Argentine committed to Mestalla until 2015

Valencia midfielder Ever Banega has signed a new contract which will keep him under terms at the Mestalla until 2015. The Argentinian's previous deal was set to expire at the end of the season, but he is a key part of the club's plans. Valencia president Manuel Llorente has hailed the new contract and thinks there is more to come from Banega. "(He) is one of the great talents in Spanish football," said Llorente. "He is a young player and is growing and maturing day by day and we are convinced that he will become an even more important player for us in the future." After joining Valencia in 2008 from Boca Juniors, Banega spent a season on loan with Atletico Madrid. Everton thought that they had signed him when that spell ended, but he stayed at the Mestalla. "I am very pleased to extend my contract at Valencia," Banega told the club's official website. "Now I want to continue to play well and improve in this team."
